It is possible to set up discount programs which allow for a percentage figure to be taken off the price (as dictated by the Rate Type) of a product, e.g. A 5% reduction for Seniors card holders or loyalty card holders.
When a particular Discount Program is applied during the Make a New Booking process, the pre-defined discount is automatically calculated and applied to the Product/s in the booking.
Offline Discounts should not be used for defining different pricing levels for Agents. They should be set up using relevant Rate Types.
Click on the Manage tab.
Click on Offline Discounts in the left hand menu.
The Summary displays a list of Discounts that have been previously created.
In Manage, click on Offline Discounts then New Discount from the left menu.
Enter a Description for the discount, and a Discount Value (percentage).
Click on the " Save" button.
In Manage, click on Offline Discounts from the left hand menu.
Click on (Edit) beside the discount to be edited.
Make the necessary changes.
Click on the " Save" button.
In Manage, click on Offline Discounts from the left hand menu.
Click on the (Delete) button beside the discount to be removed.
Note the warning and confirm deletion.
