Price Types allow for the definition of different levels of pricing attached to Products. Default Price Types exist for the following:
Frontdesk provides the flexibility to specify additional Price Types other than the defaults, e.g. a new price type called "Rep" could be added to allow for a local travel agent (set up as an online Frontdesk Rep) to receive a 15% discount on the standard Internet price for products. Or, a new price type could be created for an Offline Agent to increase your standard Internet prices by 10% to cover commission that could be charged by the Agent.
Click on the Manage tab.
From the left hand menu, click on Inventory Setup, then Price Types. If you have previously created any Price Types, a summary will be shown, along with a list of Default Price Types.
In Manage,click on Inventory Setup, then Price Types from the left hand menu.
Click on the "
New Price Type" button.
Enter the Name of the new Price Type.
Click on the "
Save" button.
Once you have created new Price Types, they need to be associated with Products. See Product & Inventory Setup for further information.
In Manage, click on Inventory Setup, then Price Types from the left hand menu. If you have previously created any Price Types, a summary will be shown under Custom Price Types.
Click on the
(Edit) button beside the Price Type to be modified.
Make the necessary changes to the name of the Price Type.
Click on the "Save" button.
In Manage, click on Inventory Setup, then Price Types from the left hand menu. If you have previously created any Price Types, a summary will be shown under Custom Price Types.
Click on the
(Delete) button beside the Price Type to be removed from the list.
Note the Warning and confirm the deletion.
It is not possible to delete a Price Type if there are existing bookings for that Price Type.
