A season is a part of the year characterised by a certain level of demand. Your seasons will be used to set up your pricing strategy for the year ahead. Once set up, it is very simple to amend individual dates within seasons using the Daily Rate Manager.
It makes sense to set up more than one season each year if demand usually varies. E.g. if you are busier in summer than in winter, it is advisable to set up a summer season and a winter season and set your initial prices at different levels for each.
Frontdesk will recognise which season a booking falls within and will apply the relevant price.
It is important to have prices set up for at least a year in advance.
Seasons for each product should not overlap. The start date of a Season will be the day following the end of the previous Season. You may create two or more Seasons with overlapping dates, however, only one of the Seasons can be allocated to a single product.
Click on the Manage tab
Click on Inventory Setup in the left hand menu
Click on Seasons in the left hand menu. If you have previously created any Seasons, a summary will be shown here
Click on the "
New Season" button
Enter start and end dates for the Season
Enter a description for the Season. It is recommended you include the year in the Season name eg Winter 2008/9
Repeat until you have set up all seasons required
Click on the "
Save" button
Once a Season has been created, it then needs to be associated with Products.

Click on Seasons from the left hand menu. Previously created Seasons will be shown here
Click on "
Edit" beside the Season to be modified
Make any necessary changes
Click on the "
Save" button
Click on the Manage tab
Click on Inventory Setup in the left hand menu
Click on Seasons in the left hand menu. Any previously created Seasons will be shown here.
To delete an entire Season, click on "
Delete" beside the Season to be removed.
Follow the prompts to confirm the deletion.
You will not be able to delete a Season if you have existing bookings for that Season.
