Why is a Product showing as Unavailable Or Unconfigured on the Diary Screen?
Possible reasons:
There are no prices allocated to this Product. You need to define a price for this Product. SEE ALSO Prices.
This Accommodation Product has no ‘Active’ Rooms associated. Go to Manage>Products and Rates then View Product (Accommodation)to check the status of the associated Rooms. If necessary, edit () the Rooms and change the status to Active.
This Tour/Attraction/Event Product has its status set to ‘Inactive’. Go to Manage>Products and Rates>View Product (e.g. Tours) and check that under Settings, the status is set to Active.
If the Unavailable bar has a Customer name, this means that this Inventory item (e.g. room) has been allocated to more than one Product, and has been booked as another Product. If you require this particular room to be made available, you must cancel the existing booking (SEE ALSO Cancel a Booking) or move it to another room (SEE ALSO Edit Booking).
Why can't I make a booking for a particular Product?
Possible reasons:
The Product is unavailable because there are no prices allocated to this Product. You need to allocate at least one Rate Plan to this Product. SEE ALSO Prices. You can tell if this is the case because there will be a grey 'Unconfigured' line next to the Product when you view it on the Diary screen.
There is already a booking for this Product/Room item. You can tell if this is the case by viewing the Diary screen. If there is a booking with a Customer name recorded against this Room for the date required, it will not be bookable. You will need to either cancel the existing booking (SEE ALSO Cancel a Booking) or choose another room or date.
The Rate Plan for this Product has a minimum booking duration. Eg: you have defined a 2 night minimum but you are trying to book only 1 night - in this case the product cannot be booked. You will need to either increase the number of nights, or go back and either remove the minimum booking duration. However if you do the latter for your Best Available Rate, customers will be able to book 1 night only. To avoid this, leave your Best Available Rate as is and define a Freeform rate with no minimum booking duration.
You have entered a number of Adults/children/Concessions that exceeds the maximum capacity of the Product you wish to book.
